A born and raised Edmontonian with a passion for sports, Sharnell was on the opening team for Rogers Place in 2016, and has come up through the ranks into her current role as Vice President of Hospitality. Having worked for all three food service providers that have been contracted by Rexall Place and Rogers Place over the last ten years, Sharnell is an experienced sports and entertainment hospitality professional. She also serves as a mentor to many current and aspiring professionals within the industry, and is an outspoken advocate for women in sports. As Vice President of Hospitality Sharnell develops and oversees the execution of OEG Sports and Entertainment’s overall vision for food & beverage in Rogers Place and ICE District, as those spaces evolve in the years to come. She aims to leverage innovation and technology to building destinations that create memorable experiences, to ensure that fans return time and time again.
Some of Sharnell’s accolades include:
• F&B services for three IIHF World Junior Championships and the 2020 Hub City Stanley Cup Playoffs.
• Played a pivotal role in the creation and operation of Studio 99 Restaurant in Rogers Place in 2018, which has had exponential growth over the years resulting in a 1300% increase in fans through the space per game (30 people in 2017 and now they host over 420 fans per game in playoffs and over 300 during regular season).
• During her time with Levy Canada, her account was named Top Account of the Year for Levy Canada in 2023 and she co-chaired Levy’s Women Engaged Leadership Resource Group.
